Our Company History
Dale’s Auto Care is a Certified Auto Repair Center that provides full service auto repair and preventative maintenance for domestic and import cars, pickups, light trucks and SUV’s. Our primary mission is to assist you, our customers – women, seniors, fleet owners, families and individuals in the task of understanding the importance of maintaining your vehicles and providing you with the information needed to make wise decisions. Our ASE certified technicians and mechanics pride ourselves in providing dependable services and diagnosis that is backed with integrity in pricing, quality and respect for you and your vehicles.
Dale Guyer started the business in Boise in 1965 as a single bay gas station back when Vista Avenue was not yet connected to the interstate highway. The facility has been added to on 4 separate occasions and now has 7 bays available for use as a full service repair and maintenance center. In this age of electronics and technology our repair center uses the latest in repair, maintenance and diagnostic equipment in the services we provide. We use Mitchell1 management and CRM software programs for tracking and communicating with our customers and keeping them aware of their service needs. Vetronix and Snap-On diagnostic equipment enable fast, accurate diagnosis that allow us to meet our goal of saving our customers money by diagnosing the problem correctly with a minimum of cost and inconvenience.
Sam Gray has managed the business since 2004. He has lived and worked in the valley since 1989 as a lead technician in dealerships and independent shops. Sam’s years of experience (since 1984), his ASE Master certification and his Christian values make him one of the leading technicians in the valley. He prides himself in taking time with customers to ensure that they understand what their vehicle needs and why. He wants to be certain they get the most value from the services he performs. His expertise often enables him to diagnose and repair vehicles that have not been successfully repaired elsewhere.
Sam enjoys spending his leisure hours in the beautiful Idaho outdoors. He and his family recreate by camping, riding dirt bikes and boating on Idaho’s many lakes. Sam is very active in his church with youth activities and charitable community endeavors. He has participated in school supply drives for under-privileged children and in providing oil changes for single moms and welfare recipients. Sam says one of the greatest things about living in Boise, Idaho is interacting with the uncommonly friendly people who make up this Treasure Valley.
We serve customers from all over the Treasure Valley in Ada and Canyon County encompassing Boise, Meridian, Garden City, Kuna, Nampa, Caldwell, Mountain Home, Star, Eagle and Middleton. Our location is central to the airport, Vista Avenue and Boise’s downtown areas.
